Hi! It’s nice to meet you. My name is Jessica Dawkins and I’m the founder of The Social Campfire, LLC. I founded my content writing and digital marketing company in Florida in 2015 after serving as Director of Content and Social Media Marketing at an international healthcare marketing agency.

It was inspiring to work with surgeons and medical technology companies while leading two amazing teams. Grateful for the experience, I decided to establish my own unique and impassioned vision for client-focused, personalized, and inspired marketing services.

Today, I serve my clients in a variety of industries across the United States remotely. As CEO of The Social Campfire, I wear a variety of hats, including roles as Senior eComm Content Writer and Copywriter for wPromote, Senior Social Media Marketer for Thryv, Social Publicist for Club HandleBizHaveFun and as senior content writer and social media strategist for some of the top marketing agencies in the country.

I’m a ghostwriter for renowned marketing and business development consultants, a digital newsletter and social media specialist for SMBs, and a copywriter and content writer for technology, healthcare, and consumer enterprises of all sizes and personalities.

It’s an understatement to say I love marketing. I have over a decade of leadership experience growing brands, businesses, and communities of all sizes in a variety of industries.

Jessica’s Background and Education

Before working as a marketing professional full-time, I was a columnist and journalist for digital publications and outlets including Yahoo! and Examiner.com. I was also a contributor to Psychology Today and an editor at Bleacher Report. I’ve written high-quality content for brands like E&Y and Gerber Childrenswear. I’ve also served as Managing Editor for Laser Institute of America and marketer for Thryv and Vivial.

I’m a graduate of the University of Central Florida (GKCO!) where I studied writing, literature, marketing, and sociology. Along with my Bachelor of Arts in English, I possess a minor in sociology, a Community Creative Writing certificate, and graduate-level psychology training from Walden University.

Driven and passionate about the Central Florida community, I’m a former nominee of the Orlando Business Journal’s Women to Watch Under 40 award. I’m also the Founder of the holistic health Community Mental Health for Witches, a medium and certified Reiki Master, and a mental health coach and consultant for the occult community. Along with my deep experience in the medical, health, food and beverage, sports, and alternative health arenas, I’m an enthusiastic and skilled writer and sensitive business partner for spiritual businesses.
